A hotel until 2006, Cottage Lodge is now the best B&B in the New Forest (The Guardian newspaper, 2007).
Cottage Lodge is based in the thriving New Forest village of Brockenhurst, so you may experience a little noise. However, this does mean you are within just a few minutes’ walk of all of the town’s amenities.
Brockenhurst is one of 3 New Forest villages where the ponies, cattle, donkeys and even pigs can wander freely around the village. They can sometimes be seen on the little green opposite Cottage Lodge.
In the centre of Brockenhurst village, inside the New Forest National Park, the Watersplash Hotel offers en suite rooms with free Wi-Fi. Children are welcome and there is a pool.
Rooms at the Watersplash all have an en suite bathroom with a bath or shower. Rooms have forest or village views and all have a TV.
The dining room offers breakfast and Sunday lunch. Light meals are available from the bar and lunches in the dining room can be arranged.
The family-run hotel boasts 2 acres of gardens with lawns and shade trees as well as the outdoor swimming pool. Free on-site parking is available.
The New Forest offers walking, riding and cycling trails, some of which start from Brockenhurst. Brockenhurst Railway Station is 450 metres away and the seashore at Lymington, with ferries to the Isle of Wight, is 15 minutes’ drive away.
