Cottage Lodge is based in the thriving New Forest village of Brockenhurst, so you may experience a little noise. However, this does mean you are within just a few minutes’ walk of all of the town’s amenities.
Brockenhurst is one of 3 New Forest villages where the ponies, cattle, donkeys and even pigs can wander freely around the village. They can sometimes be seen on the little green opposite Cottage Lodge.
In the heart of the New Forest, Forest Park Hotel offers cosy log fires, scenic views and free parking. With a swimming pool and sun terrace, Lymington is 10 minutes away.
Set in a former vicarage, the spacious rooms at Forest Park feature an en suite bathroom, satellite TV and tea and coffee facilities. Many have views of the famous forest or extensive private grounds.
The traditional restaurant serves a varied international menu and a world wine list. The Forest Bar offers light meals and snacks, and there is also a modern cocktail bar and cosy guest lounge for traditional afternoon teas.
Forest Park Hotel is surrounded by scenic woodland, with walking routes and horse riding tracks just steps away. The New Forest Reptile Centre at Lyndhurst is just a 10-minute drive away, offering guided woodland trails. Ringwood is 20 minutes’ drive away.
